Floriculture Visit
An educational visit was organized for the students
of Grade 9A to a Floriculture Visit located near Naya Gaon, Kaladhungi,
Haldwani. The purpose of this visit was to provide students with practical
exposure to the cultivation and maintenance of flowering plants and to enhance
their understanding of plant diversity and horticultural practices.
During the visit, students
observed a wide variety of ornamental plants, seasonal flowers, and saplings.
The nursery staff explained different methods of plant propagation, such as
cutting, grafting, and seed sowing. Students also learned about soil
preparation, watering techniques, and
the importance of sunlight and
nutrients for healthy plant growth.
The visit was interactive and
informative, as students actively engaged by asking questions and noting key
observations. They gained valuable insights into the significance of plants in
maintaining ecological balance and beautifying the environment.
