Description: Iridescence – A Grand Display of Whitehall Annual Function 2025–26
“A child’s curiosity is the lamp that illuminates the path of learning throughout life.”
The Annual Function “Iridescence” was splendidly presented in the premises of Whitehall School, Lamachaur, on 7 December 2025, from 1 PM to 4 PM.
The school family warmly welcomed the Chief Guest, Chief Education Officer, Mr. Govind Ram Jaiswal, at the commencement of the celebration. On this auspicious occasion, the school’s Managing Directors Mrs. Shalini Lal and Mr. Ravi Lal, Directors Mr. and Mrs. Erickson, and Principal Ms. Manral, along with all dignitaries, greeted the Chief Guest with a bouquet of flowers and extended their heartfelt welcome.
The event was further graced by the presence of the honourable members of the Public School Association,
Principals of various prestigious schools and colleges of Haldwani,
Proprietors of renowned business establishments of the city,
respected members of the local government,
officers from different departments, and political representatives.
Additionally, nearly 2000 parents and guardians enhanced the grandeur of the ceremony with their esteemed presence, enjoying the programme wholeheartedly and appreciating the hard work of the students.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest and the school management, followed by a melodious Saraswati Vandana, which filled the environment with serenity, devotion, and cultural grace.
Cultural Performances
The youngest learners—Nursery to Grade 1—brought the stage to life with their presentation “The Curious Critters”, depicting the jungle world with innocence, enthusiasm, and delightful expressions.
This was followed by Grades 2 and 3, who presented “Wings of Innocence – Duck Safari”, showcasing a beautiful blend of childlike imagination, simplicity, and coordination.
Grades 4 and 5 presented “Thinkfinity – Imagination Without Limits”, expressing their boundless creativity and innovative thinking collectively.
The Grades 6 and 7 presentation, “Celestial Ties”, based on the immortal friendship of Krishna and Sudama, deeply moved the audience and emphasized the values of friendship and human bonds.
To add laughter and liveliness, students from various classes jointly performed the comedy skit “Chakka Jam”, which filled the hall with joy and amusement.
Following this, the special series of performances by Grades 6–8 began with “Screen to Self – The Hidden Cost”, highlighting the mental, social, and emotional challenges faced by children in the digital age.
Next came “Echoes of Liberation”, depicting the profound struggle between societal expectations and personal passion.
The music performance by the middle wing conveyed a melodious message of hope, harmony, and unity.
The vibrant act “Inspiro” beautifully portrayed the journey from tradition to modernity, while “Rangla Punjab” brought explosive energy, colours, and cultural vibrance to the stage.
Conclusion
At the end of the programme, the Chief Guest, the school’s Managing Directors, Directors Mr. and Mrs. Erickson, and Principal Ms. Manral praised the students for their dedication, talent, and academic excellence.
The ceremony concluded successfully with a formal Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all guests, parents, and supporters for their valuable presence.
‘Iridescence’ 2025–26 truly reflects the inspiring educational journey of Whitehall School—where children grow from curiosity to knowledge, from innocence to confidence, and from dreams to achievements.
Thus, the event proved to be an enthusiastic, enriching, and thoroughly entertaining celebration.
